Cycling in the area
Saint Sorlin d’Arves, and the surrounding area, is a cyclist’s paradise! Ideally situated in the summer for mountain biking and road cycling.
For the road cyclist, you can enjoy fantastic views while riding the Tour de France, Criterium du Dauphiné Libéré and la Marmotte routes.
The Col de la Croix de Fer is only 3km from the village, and the Col de Glandon only 5km.

Many of the mountain passes have timing beacons.
Using the local cycling map, there are over 50 different routes to choose from – these range from easy green routes, giving short distances of less than 30km and 300m of climbing, to more testing circuits of more than 70km and over 1000m of climbing.
The provision for mountain biking is also outstanding – there are a multitude of marked routes. You can even take your bike up the mountain using the chairlift, giving you a thrilling descent of more than 7 kms!
